At approximately 8:35 am on Saturday, 24 December 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea off  Al Shate’ refugee camp in Gaza city.

According to Al Mezan’s field information, two Israeli gunboats pursued one Palestinian fishing boat which managed to escape. As a result, fishermen were terrified and abandoned their work and sailed land immediately. No injuries or causalities were reported.
