At approximately 01:57, on Monday, 14 November 2011, Israeli aircraft fired several missiles at the Palestinian naval police building, located opposite An-Naowras resort in the As-Sudaniya area in North Gaza district.
As a result, the building was completely destroyed, the An-Naowras resort sustained physical damage, and three adjacent houses were partially damaged.
Several windowpanes in adjacent buildings also shattered.
The body of police officer Mohammed Zaher Al Kelani, 22, was found dismembered under the rubble of the building.
Al Mezan identified the names of the ten injured persons as follows: · Majdi Jameel Yasen Shaqoura, 44, in charge of the French Consul in the Gaza Strip, injured in the right leg; · His wife Majeda Mesbah Yasen Shaqoura, 42, who miscarried; · Yousif Deab Mosa Zaed, 44, guard at the An-Naowras resort, and · Bahjat Saleh Othman An-Nmelat, 21.
· Iyad Zakariya Khalil As-Sakani, 30, police officer; · Basel Mahmoud Saleh Abu Warda, 22, police officer; · Mohammed Nadi Abed Ma’rouf, 25, police officer; · Hassan Khader Ahmed Khdeer, 29, police officer; · Mahmoud Mohammed Mas’oud, 27, police officer; and · Mohammed Ishtiwi, 25 police officer.
Medical sources at Kamal Odwan Hospital reported that one of the injured victims was in a critical state and the injuries of other victims were light to moderate.
Mohammed Ishtiwi sustained light injuries and was admitted to the hospital.
