Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns these IOF extrajudicial assassination crimes, and asserts that such illegal killings constitute war crimes in breach of International law, most notably the Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
Al Mezan hereby calls upon the international community, most importantly the High Contracting Parties of Geneva Convention, to undertake their legal and ethical duty and immediately intervene to put an end to Israeli crimes, and provide protection to civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).
Further, Al Mezan asserts that continuous disregard of Israeli crimes has encouraged further crimes against Palestinians in the OPT.
